Project Based Learning in our Middle School Program

All the way up on our 5th floor our Middle School students have been hard at work on their first unit of the year, Bridges. Students work in a 2 hour afternoon block on projects of individual interest based on a shared theme. This type of learning is deeply connected to Montessori pedagogy AND proven by recent brain science to promote and engender collaboration, critical thinking, problem solving and empathy.
