This week...

Yellow room welcomed February with the theme of love and hearts. Children are working with different and new materials on the shelf like sorting different colored hearts, using dot markers to make a heart, cutting heart shapes and even playing heart tic-tac-toe. We also talked about the Chinese New Year also called the Lunar New Year during circle time. We learnt about the festivities and the importance of this day to some cultures in our world. 

Yellow room also had a successful ‘Kindergarten publishing party’ this week where each of our kindergartners wrote and illustrated a story, published it and then read it out loud in front of an audience which included their parents. Thank you to all our kindergarten parents for coming and encouraging the children. It was lovely to have you all.
