// Curriculum Update: Week of Jan 28 //

This week in Yellow Room we started exploring different rocks, geodes and gemstones that are naturally found in the layers of the Earth. Yellow room children were mesmerized to see shiny, smooth, hard and sparkly rocks and were amazed to know that they were actually a part of our planet’s inner layers and crust. We talked about why rocks look different and discussed that rocks can be found everywhere. 

We created works on the shelf for children to explore this topic more where they can examine different rocks under a magnifying glass, look at different rocks and spot them ina book all about rocks to learn their names and also a work where they can touch and  feel different rocks in their hands.
