Creating the future, without fear.

// Curriculum Update: Week of Jan. 14 //

With Martin Luther King Day approaching, yellow room discussed who Dr.King was and what made him so famous. After reading a few books on Dr.King’s work,  children shared their ideas on what they would want to do to change the world. Being kind to each other, no hitting or pushing anyone and helping everyone were a few of the ideas that came up.

In conjunction with Martin Luther King day and how to make the world a better place, we also talked about peace. Yellow room children painted peace symbols and also learnt how to do Yoga to keep the body calm and peaceful.  We introduced a new yoga work on the shelf which the children have been taking turns to work with.

Lastly, we appreciate yellow room parents for taking time out and coming this week to work with their respective children. It was a pleasure having you all.

“Life's most persistent and urgent question is, 'What are you doing for others?”  - Dr. Martin Luther King.
