// Week of May 6: Curriculum Update //
This week we continue to learn about the life cycle of the butterfly. In circle time, we introduced a new work where the children can explore each stage of a butterfly. Children were also able to observe the caterpillars and see how big they have grown in size. The children await the next phase of metamorphosis: the chrysalis. A new song that we learned to help us learn about the life cycle of a butterfly is “There’s a Little Caterpillar on a Leaf”.
We have begun to explore the life cycle of a flower, starting from a tiny seed to a beautiful flower. We planted our own flowers in a pot and added soil and water. The children are excited to take these plants home and share them with their families.
Thank you to all our families for their generosity during “Teacher Appreciation Week”. We truly appreciate all your hard work.
We wish all a very Happy Mother’s Day. Have a great weekend!
