// Curriculum Update: Week of Feb. 18 //

This week  in the  Cultural area, we explored  the seven continents of the world with the aid of a jigsaw puzzle world map and “The Continent Song”, which is a fun and educational way to learn about the continents.

The Continents Song lyrics:

                                                           “Tell me the continents,

                                                            Tell me if you can,

                                                            North America,  South America,  Europe,  Asia,  Africa,

                                                            Don’t forget Australia,

                                                            Don’t forget Antarctica,

                                                            Tell me the continents, Tell me the continents,

                                                            Tell me if you can.”

In the Math area, we have been working on the Number Rods. This Sensorial material enables  the children to understand quantities from one through ten in a concrete way and also builds the foundation for future math activities.
