// Curriculum Update: Week of November 5 //

This was a week of celebrations in the Triangle Room.  We celebrated Diwali,  a Hindu ‘festival of lights’  during circle time.

A short presentation was led by couple  of our parents to explain the meaning of Diwali.  The presentation included a  short story followed by an art craft.  The children were able  to use different colors to paint their own “diyas” made out of clay.  To end the Diwali celebration, the class was treated to some delicious treats.

We  also celebrated our first birthday of the year!  Our friends enjoyed singing  “ The Earth goes around the Sun” as they watched the birthday celebrant walk around the the circle for each year of his life.

 Next week, we look forward to celebrating each child’s accomplishments during our Parent-Teacher Conferences!
