// Week of October 15: Curriculum Update//
Our Triangle Room students are working hard towards their independence. Many are able to put on their jackets the using the “dip and flip” method. This allows the children to put on their own jacket without a teacher’ help. Some of the children are also able to change their shoes from indoor and outdoor with minimal assistance from the teacher. A group lesson was shown to teach the children how to turn their sleeves from the inside to outside. All these tools help the children build independence to promote confidence.
Our children are also busy with the many seasonal art projects. They enjoy pasting different color leaves on their autumn trees and rubbing crayons against the different kinds of leaves. We are also learning recognize the number “one” by tracing the pattern with our hands and pasting seeds on the outline.
