This week...

The new month included exploring new activities on the shelf and continued exploration. One of the new activities in the Practical Life Area includes cinnamon grating. Children use a cinnamon stick on a grater and see the powder form inside the clear bowl below. We will use the cinnamon powder later as part of another activity. Another new activity included identifying different kinds of sports. We introduced four- basketball, baseball, soccer, and football. The children also learned how to identify them in Spanish! 

This week also included some celebrations. One of the children’s parent came in to read a book and share some delicious treats in honor of the Lunar New Year. Another celebration included a birthday! We hope you have had a great start to the new month as we did!
