// Week of October 15: Curriculum Update//

We had a great field trip to Abma’s Farm on Tuesday. The children enjoyed taking a bus ride, playing on a pretend tractor, taking a hayride and observing chrysanthemums, vegetables growing, honey bees making honey, and tractors at work, and of course finding their own pumpkins in the pumpkin patch.  It was very exciting to see each part of the lifecycle of the pumpkin in real life. They had cider doughnuts and apple juice when we  arrived at the school. 

Back in the classroom, we opened a pumpkin and learned about its’ parts. Everyone had the chance to touch the seeds!
