Creating the future, without fear.

// Hibernation Week: Curriculum Update //

Wow, how time flies by! As we go on to start the holidays, we wish everyone a safe, warm, restful and a wonderful time with friends and family and the things you love to do!

It’s been an exciting past few weeks where the children worked on their art pieces that are displayed in the hallway across from our classroom! In doing so, they explored different medias and techniques to create each piece.  Also, in the classroom,  we got ready for Hibernation Day, we read books and added some new works about how animals and insects get ready for winter. With that, the children learned some new vocabulary (hibernation, migration and adaptation). We read the book Over and Under the Snow by Christopher Silas Neal and the children were surprised to learn that bees and other insects are hibernating underground—and that even when we ski or walk on snow, that they are still safe!

P.S. We loved seeing everyone in their pajamas :)

Thank you for a wonderful 2018, and we hope to see you all next year!

Warmly, Ms. Justine, Ms. Melissa and Ms. Karen
