// Curriculum Update: Week of November 5 //
This week in the Orange Room, we were busy workers receiving lessons from our teachers and from our friends too. We enjoyed the warm fall days at the park and made the most of the rainy days, visiting the 6th floor and playing games in the classroom. On Thursday we took a walk to our second emergency location. It was the perfect day for a walk and we safely made it there and back in record time!

This week we enjoyed the beautiful Fall weather and collected leaves at the park. We noticed many changes with the season and went on a nature walk recording all the plants and animals we saw. Most exciting of all, we carved a pumpkin and scooped out the pulp!

This week we welcomed back Ms. Hala! We had a great time at the farm, riding on the hay ride, picking our pumpkins in a real pumpkin patch, and feeding the animals. We also enjoyed the crisp autumn air during recess time and began collecting fallen leaves for the classroom.

The children were introduced to more new works including many water-based and water-transfer works. They very excitedly began their first Art Class/project. In preparation for our upcoming farm field trip, we have started many new apple-themed works as well!

This week, Orange room children rehearsed for our Peace Day celebration and the HPMS birthday. We talked about fall arriving and the life cycle of an apple!

// Week of Sept. 24: Curriculum Update //
This week, the children began their specials (Movement/PE, Music, and Spanish). They also continued exploring new works and new friendships. This gave the Kindergarteners the chance to practice their leadership while the younger friends learned more new works from them.

Orange Room children continued to learn and practice classroom and park ground rules this week. Our younger friends are often aided by our older friends, giving our older friends the opportunity to practice their leadership skills!

This week in Orange Room we learned and reviewed Classroom ground rules. We learned how important our materials are and how to care for them. Orange Room welcomed more new friends this week and our older children modeled lessons for our younger friends.
