This week, Ocean Room friends had a few group lessons. First levels had their Cosmic Address Lesson, they learned about their position from the Universe to their house. Ocean Room friends are also getting ready for their Writers Workshop, they received their Small Moment Lesson, where they learned that their life is like a watermelon and the seeds are small moments that happen in their lives. We also had a lesson about Autumnal Equinox and the Phases of the Moon. It was an exciting week!

In the pictures of this week, you will see the rest of the “Me Bag” presentations. Also, Ocean Room friends received their work plans filled with exciting lessons and follow ups to choose from. Some friends are working on breaking words into syllables while others are getting their checkerboard lesson. As a classroom, we discussed some important agreements that we should follow in our classroom and in school; we created our Class Constitution!

Last week, Ocean Room friends did hand and foot prints activities to put in our time capsule that we open the last week of school. Ocean Room friends also had their First Great Lesson, in which they learned about the creation of the universe. This week we started learning more about our friends with our “Me Bag” activity.
