My name is Aren Forsstrom Kojo. I'm a graduating student at Hamilton Park Montessori Middle School. I am a big animal person, I have a dog and a cat, and I would like to work with animals in the future. With the current restrictions of Covid, I have found a liking for art and painting. Something I enjoy doing with friends is games, whether online or in person, because I like some competition but not an excessive amount. I wouldn't appreciate a tournament, but a competition with friends I would enjoy. Summarized, I like games, animals, and art. Without any of these in my life I just wouldn't be myself.

Being in nature is important to me and my family. So are animals!

“Aren is a kind and sweet young man. He has always been the voice of reason in our family. His feet firmly on the ground, realistic but with dark humor, he helps us all stay present and resilient. As a family, we strive to look for the bigger picture in things and hope to learn from our short-comings and tough times. Our togetherness is filled with caring for our furry friends (Monk and Coltrane), exploring in nature, and visiting friends, near and far. Aren greatly enjoys visiting his family, both in Trinidad and Finland, and has learned to embrace both cultures in his life. His various cultural experiences are often portrayed in his paintings, whether in self-portraiture or paintings of forests or landscapes. Aren aspires to take care of animals as a career, and dreams to have an animal sanctuary of his own one day. We whole heartedly support his passion and goals.”
